Freeport Community Library

"Connections"

Connections is a volunteer driven program of the Freeport Community Library that is designed to provide library materials to patrons who are unable to travel to the Library.  The Connections program serves Library card holders who reside in Freeport and Pownal.

The Connections program assists those who are home bound on a permanent basis or for an extended period of time due to surgery or debilitating illness, lack of transportation or the inability to drive or has no ride.  This service is not intended for people with temporary illnesses such as colds & flu.

Connections provides a degree of socialization in addition to being a source of reading, viewing and listening materials for the recipients of this service.

If you would like information on this program, please contact the library at 865-3307.  We will take your name and telephone number and pass it on to the Connections volunteers, one of whom will be in touch with you soon after receiving your request.

The Connections staff is also looking for volunteers to deliver and retrieve materials for this program.  If you are interested in becoming a Connections volunteer, please contact the library.
