Renewing a Book
If you are renewing materials for the first time
you can conveniently renew them on-line:
- Go to the CATALOG heading on this page. Using
the drop down menu click on Library Catalog.
- Log into your account using your personal Login and
Password. If you have not given us a Login and Password to enter
into
our new (March 2011) Koha system call us at (207)865-3307 and we will
be happy to set up on-line access to your Library account.
- To renew individual items click a checkmark into the
appropriate box(es) then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on
"Renew Selected."
- To renew everything on your account simply scroll to
the bottom of the page and click "Renewal All."
The online system will
NOT allow you to renew any item:
- a second time. (It will allow a first-time renewal
only.)
- if it is On Hold for another patron.
- if it is currently Overdue.
To request a second
renewal, please call
us during business hours at 207-865-3307. The maximum number of renewals is two
after which books must be returned. Two renewals
allows an item to be borrowed for a total 9 weeks - a sufficient amount
of time.
If an item is not returned or renewed by its due date,
the computer will automatically compute and charge you $0.20/per day
for each item ($1 per movie) until it is returned or renewed.
